I have not felt this at peace in a long time.

COVID ICU RN - Travel Nurse

2020 was a very hard year. It was especially so for those incredible individuals we came to know as “front line workers” or, more accurately, as heroes. For travel COVID ICU RN Lauren Hibian, 2021 hit another snag when the place she rented for her assignment in NC was unexpectedly unavailable at the last minute due to a plumbing disaster. Fortunately, the owner reached out to us, and we were honored to be able to accommodate her for the month during the repairs. With respite stays on hold due to COVID, to us, having Lauren relax in the cottage between shifts couldn’t have been more fitting for our mission. This is what she had to say about her stay in the Little Purple House one year into the dreadful pandemic.

Lauren:

“Although an unusual circumstance that brought me to your beautiful home, after the crazy year I have had as a COVID ICU RN, I can honestly say I have not felt this at peace in a long time. Coming from Cleveland, OH, the old southern charm mixed with “beachy cottage” and what I can only amount to your wonderful taste, has transported me to what feels like another world. Oddly enough, my favorite part is the unique smell of this home, as it reminds me of my family lake house in the Poconos I visited as a child (also built in the 1800s). I feel honored to be able to spend time in your home (and be part of its vast history!) and I am so very grateful!”
